This is my blog, sort of a visual diary and where I test fabrics on camera though currently having a change round as it was pretty basic.
“The project in the first term focused on developing textiles for use in a cinematic production, inspired by listening to a radio play. I took a lot of photographs of the landscape though a microscope and developed these into textural and sculptural textiles. Working with the same imagery this term, I am searching for a set of varied techniques to add to my portfolio that I can use within the work place upon graduation, while remaining true to my love of fine detail. This should allow me to continue to create work towards a variety of outcomes, despite periods of ill health.
In other words this project is about making textiles work for me.”Gorgeous work from Rachael Whittaker, follow her blog (which acts as a visual diary) on http://textilereflection.tumblr.com/
