This is my blog, sort of a visual diary and where I test fabrics on camera though currently having a change round as it was pretty basic.

“The project in the first term focused on developing textiles for use in a cinematic production, inspired by listening to a radio play. I took a lot of photographs of the landscape though a microscope and developed these into textural and sculptural textiles. Working with the same imagery this term, I am searching for a set of varied techniques to add to my portfolio that I can use within the work place upon graduation, while remaining true to my love of fine detail. This should allow me to continue to create work towards a variety of outcomes, despite periods of ill health.

In other words this project is about making textiles work for me.”

Gorgeous work from Rachael Whittaker, follow her blog (which acts as a visual diary) on http://textilereflection.tumblr.com/
